All six participants of FRG’s current NEET (New Employee Excellence Training) class have earned certifications as programmers for SAS 9.
Offered through the SAS Global Certification program, the designations represent experience and knowledge in programming and data management. The program is recognized around the world as a universal standard for measuring SAS software knowledge. Those who earn certification enhance their credibility as tech professionals.
Zhang Min Chow, Andrew Gannon, Dao Shyan Liew , Carmen Loh, Jayden Pang, and PengKent Woon have all passed the exam to earn their SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential. The exam tested their ability to:
- import and export raw data files
- manipulate and transform data
- combine SAS data sets
- create basic detail and summary reports using SAS procedures
- identify and correct data, syntax and programming logic errors.
Andrew Gannon recently completed all requirements for the SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 credential, as well. This certification, which proves skill in advanced Data Step Programming Statements, SAS SQL code, and the SAS MACRO facility, shows that applicants have a high level of proficiency in SAS programming expertise.
