Lenz Named Academic Director of the Financial Technology Graduate program at Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering

Dr. Jimmie Lenz, FRG Principal, has been named Academic Director of the Financial Technology Graduate program at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering, which will welcome its first class in the Fall of 2020.  This is a unique opportunity at one of the top universities and engineering schools in the country, and engages Lenz in a subject he has embraced throughout his career in industry and academia.

“The opportunity to work with a top-ranked engineering school adds a completely new dynamic to established academic instruction into FinTech,” Lenz said.

Lenz is an experienced executive, lecturer, and scholar in the field of banking and capital markets. He has been with the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina since 2018, most recently as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance.

A respected author and speaker, Lenz has shared his expertise in financial services, risk management, and data analytics in a number of publications, as well as through his work with global financial services firms and exchanges. Prior to joining FRG in 2017 he held a number of senior management roles at major financial institutions.
