FRG Consultants to Present at SAS® Global Forum 2018

The Financial Risk Group will be well represented at the SAS® Global Forum 2018 next month, when two of our employees lead presentations at the learning and networking conference. More than 5,000 SAS professionals are expected to attend the annual event, this year held in Denver, Colorado.

Jeff Dyson, FRG Senior Consultant, is presenting “An Introduction to Parallel Processing with the Fork Transformation in SAS® Data Integration Studio.” His white paper explains how the new Fork transformation allows users to run independent streams of logic in parallel within a single job, creating opportunities for improved performance and shorter runtimes.

Jeff has been with FRG since 2008. He uses SAS® Data Integration Studio and SAS® Management Console to help banks and financial institutions support risk management operations. He has been a SAS  user for more than 20 years.

Andrew Gannon, FRG Risk Consultant, will present “Using Maps with the JSON LIBNAME Engine in SAS®.” His paper serves as an introduction to reading JSON data via the JSON LIBNAME engine in SAS®.

Andrew, who joined FRG in 2016, has written and presented several papers on SAS topics, most recently at the 25th Annual Southeast SAS® Users Group (SESUG) Conference. He has worked on the implementation of risk management tools for the financial sector and worked on development teams for stress testing initiatives.

Andrew and Jeff are both scheduled to speak April 10th. Click here for a detailed schedule of their presentations.
